Got a ring from this number - one attempt, no message. Spam dialler pattern.

If this was a genuine business why don't you name it so the rest of us are aware and can look into it if they too got a call.

Had to be a scammer because I do not know anyone in this country and have nothing affiliated through any company in Australia that would prompt a call from an overseas number of this kind. No message was left, so this number has now been blocked.

Claimed to be PayPal saying a payment of $760 had been authorised from my account and that the payment would clear unless I report it as fraudulent with the link provided. They didn’t use my name but called me “dear customer”. The +1 area code meant the text was sent from the US and the (502) code meant it came from the Kentucky/Tennessee area. So obviously not from PayPal Australia.

This number is being used in an active scam. The caller pretended to be from the NBN.
