I got a text asking to verify a very large transaction for paypal i believe it is a scam message

Its from Security Team of Paypal. I think its a scam.

Purporting to be Pay Pal team, wanting verification of payment request by calling another number.

Called me continuously twice. I picked up on second time. Claimed he was from google security and there's an attempt to change my security email and number from Miami. He spelt my email correctly, everything sound professional and attempted to send push notification but i didn't receive any. i asked for proof that he's from google, he said he've sent it and it'll be in any folder of gmail so...

My texts say it’s from Guardia telling me my data has been leaked and to click the link but I do not have this app in my phone . I will not click!!

Google search says some place in the US. It’s obviously a scam.

said was from PayPal - call us immediately (I don't use PayPal) - said an unauthorised transaction had taken place - checked account - no transaction had taken place. Number in TXT did not match number SMS came from.

They took over my phone stopping text calls fake sites called Bob lost my crypto all and banks be careful he won't ring

Sent me a sms about a purchase pending amount on my PayPal account, definitely was not a purchase I had made.

US to AU call, I don't know anyone in NY nor do I have any business with it. International scam call

Marked as Suspected Spam. No message left.

Left a recorded message. Blank for most of the message then accented male (possible Italian) at the end of the message said “property.” Dialled 77 and reported it to scam. Linked to booking.com scam 13/4/26. Called and left messag 14/4/26

From MyGov advising that my account will be locked if I don't respond. Link provided. Knew immediately it was a scam. Noticing a great increase in scam calls. Most picked up by my phone
